pineapple boxing gloves. They were having a grand ol' time throwing down in the middle of the souvenir shop.
how cute!
Just being silly. My crazy boys!

We had a fun time with our visit. I felt bad i spent most of the time sick, but i think we still got in our fun. We took alot of beach trips, saw a few touristy places, ate some good food...it was nice. We're looking forward to our next visitor. Any takers?

the wedding

Matthew dancing with Hannah. isn't it cute?
Ashley and me.
Mallory and William dancing. She kept him out there for quite a while. it was so stinkin' cute!
Everyone having a good time.

It was a beautiful evening. I was so happy we got to be there. I got to see so many people I haven't seen in years. it was a fun couple of weeks spending time with the family. i was sad to see it end. I guess we'll have to wait for one of the nieces to get married for another gathering like that. That's a scary thought. Even after a month of being home the boys still talk about missing their cousins. They had a great time. Hopefully we'll be back soon for another visit.

summer fun

so i had planned to put up pictures of the summer right now but it won't let me. however it'll let me do video so here are some of our random videos the past few months.

just a clip of a turn off up at north shore near turtle bay. it's just a quiet little reef area. there were people out spear fishing.

the last 2 weeks. I've had this lovely manly voice. Melody was nice enough to capture it on film so others could enjoy it too :)

this was Melody "discretely" filming the eye candy parked right in front of us.

Dole Trip with Daddy

Baby pineapple. By the way, sorry this is backwards you might want to start from the bottom.
Can't get a decent picture of the three of them. This is as good as it gets.
So cute!
Little monkey's had to climb up some bars in the back to get up to the holes. William looks like he's about to hang himself.
Eli was running from his brothers.
pestering.

When Jason was home we decided we should take a trip up to the Dole Plantantion since Jason has managed never to go with us before. So we did the maze, and for the first time finished it all. It only took us 2 hours:) Then we had some yummy pineapple whip. It was a fun family day. The boys were pretty tired of being told were to go by the end so we let them run around in the middle of the maze for a while.

Zoo Trip

So I know I've been absent from here for a while, but things have been a little crazy. Let me catch you up. Jason was here and then he was gone and then he came back and then he left again. This time for the rest of the summer. So with his comings and goings things can get a little chaotic. The last time he was gone though this was one of our days. We took a trip to the Honolulu Zoo with our friends. It was a good day.

Cameron being the big man wanting to show us the way

the lowdown

Since Jason is gone i decided I'd be more productive, like I said in my last post, I have some projects. Well a few turned into a lot. So I've started with the little ones and 2 big ones. We refinished our bedroom furniture before Jay left and then I was left with the entertainment center. Which will be in the boys playroom/guest room. That one is a slow moving project since the kids have been very helpful I can only take so much at one time. On a sidenote in the future if you visit don't look to closely at this thing. I've made little hobo bags for the two older boys and a backpack for Eli, car seat strap covers for the carseats, and tried my hand at freezer paper stenciling, which by the way is very cool. I wish I could upload my pictures but Jason seems to have hidden the usb cord. So pictures will come in the future.
There's not much other news really. We're all finally better after what seems like months of being sick. So it's back to the beach for us and on to find adventures again. since everything is an adventure when you have 3 little boys with you. New things with cameron is that he can spell his name all by himself and can draw very good pictures of people, animals, submarines the list goes on....and you can tell what they all are. And as of tonight he wants to be a music conductor when he grows up. William is turning into another good helper and is becoming the only one who will give me kisses without wipeing them off. Even Eli is learning this bad habit. He told me tonight he wants to be like daddy when he grows up and eat hot sauce. Seriously I love my kids :) Eli learned how to go down the stairs today and climb off a couch without falling. About time. At least I get to have my baby a baby for a while longer. That's about all my news. Hope everyone is doing well!!

Etsy

i have been inspired lately to get my house organized as well as do all of the projects I've been wanting to do for so long, but never seem to have the time for. Well it's my new goal that in the next two months all of these things will be done. Starting with making a duvet for our down comforter. I've got my instructions for it so I went looking for some fabric I would love. Which is really the hard part. I found this really awesome Etsy shop called downshadowlane.etsy.com I'm in love with some of the fabrics so I've also added pillows and curtains to my list. Ill post pictures. Wish me luck!

New Camera

This is about as good as it gets trying to get the boys all in a shot. Plus you can tell how happy I am. This was about the tenth try. We've just gotten ourselves a new camera so Jason was testing it out. We decided to go ahead and buy this Canon Rebel from a guy off the boat for dirt cheap. You get alot of single guys just spending their money and then they sell their camera, laptops, kendals, etc... for really cheap to whoever will take them. It's an awesome thing for us. So anyways, it's been fun playing around with it. Next on the list, photo editing software. I was told about this website piknic.com which has been really fun to play around with, but I want more options. So I think it's time to just buy the software. If you've never done any photo editing I suggest taking a look at the website you can edit your pictures for free and see if you like it. On a side note this picture has not been edited so don't judge from this.

Our month in review

Christmas was so much fun this year. The kids were all so excited. They woke up at the crack of dawn and made us get up. you can tell from the lighting in the pictures how it's pretty dark still haha They spent the day testing out their new skateboards and Jason helped them learn how to play all their new games. I observed my men fondly from a distance and got to enjoy some alone time in the kitchen while I made my christmas meals. It was a great day for everyone. Also since Jason didn't have to work the week of Christmas we got to go exploring. We went to the beach and circled the whole island. It's such a beautiful place. We saw alot of things, from a dead boar strapped to the front of a jeep(that's something you don't see on the mainland) to a little boy learning to surf with his parents.
On Cameron's birthday he decided he wanted to go to the dinosaur exhibit at the museum. It was life-size dinosaurs that moved and made noises. Scared poor Eli to death. He ended up screaming like I've never seen a baby do before. Totally terrified. That made me feel bad, but Cameron and William thought it was the coolest thing ever. They also had a volcano building, where they simulate an erupting volcano. There was all kinds of volcano related activities for them there. As well as all of that they got to guide underwater diving cameras. Then we came home and had a volcano shaped cake and presents. It was so fun to see the boys so excited all day about everything they saw there. Cameron had a great birthday.
